Leaves are alternate, with short petioles, crowded at the top of shoots, with a few serrations on the upper part of the margin, deep green and shinning above, pale green and glabrous beneath.
Flowers in May with unfolding new leaves.
This oak is found in the warm temperate zone.
This is very similar to Quercus acuta.
The wood is used for buildings, utensils, machinaries, fuels and so on.
